Star Wars fans rejoiced as the cloaked Jedi, Luke Skywalker, made an unexpected appearance in the season finale of The Mandalorian. While Hamill disapproved of the character's arc in the sequel trilogy, he did praise the role.
Some Star Wars fans have argued over whether Luke Skywalker ever existed. It isn't a coincidence that the entrance of Luke Skywalker in The Mandalorian is similar to Anakin's in The Revenge of the Sith. In the latter film, Luke's young self is depicted in a flashback. Similarly, the introduction of Baby Yoda in Episode VII also echoes the scenes with the cloaked Jedi.
